Betty was born August 16, 1923 in Conneaut, Ohio, a daughter of the late Clayton and Betsy (Guest) Crandall. Betty graduated from Conneaut High School in 1941 and attended Ashtabula Business School. She retired as a Library Clerk from Rowe Junior High School in Conneaut. Previously she had worked as a payroll clerk for Koski Construction Company in Ashtabula.
